Location in city centre, cleanliness, hospitaly and politeness among staff, breakfast included in price.
Disturbing noise from Rokin Street.
The hotel appeared to have been refurbished recently, it was clean and welcoming with free internet access. Good location for transports links and the breakfast was a buffet. The staff were very helpful.
The tram line runs in front of the hotel which is not unusually, so front rooms would be noisy but we were on the back and had no problems.
Very nice location and nice staff. Bed slightly narrow in general enjoyed the stay and will recommend to friend and family.
The hotel staff is really friendly and genuine. The breakfast buffet is adequate and included in the price.
Some things need updating (for instance the bed spread). The old TV in my room only served a couple of channels (Raiuno...) and the quality was extremely poor.
The breakfast was absolutely superb. We were expecting a continental breakfast but in addition there was also scrambled eggs/bacon so they definately catered for english people at breakfast who love a cooked breakfast.Location was very good and the staff even asked if we would like to locate to a room at the rear of the hotel as it was quieter.
The only thing I can think of is there was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. When you get up in the morning its nice to be able to make a drink prior to going down to breakfast.
Hotel is in a fantastic location, literally 1 minute walk from dam square. Beds are really comfy and rooms are cleaned every day. breakfast was great too, good start to the day.
not so much of a complaint but the bathroom is more of a wet room so everything got wet, could do with a shower curtain.
Excellent location - in the heart of Amsterdam, close to Dam square. Good breakfast. Free WI-FI internet in rooms. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Jan is the best!!! Thanx for your willing to help in every situation! I would definitelly recommend this hotel for Amsterdam visitors.
Bed laundry needs to be renewed - some sheets are too old with plenty of holes in them. No refrigerator in the room - it would be helpful for those staying for several days during hot weather. Modest variety of TV-channels: only programs in Dutch with few BBC-programs. But these "weaknessess" are all not significant and can't spoil impressions of staying in Amsterdam and ROKIN hotel.
Great location, good security, the best value breakfast of any A'dam hotel. This was my 4th stay, and would return.
The front wall of the hotel must be made of paper, as the noise level from the street through the night was surprising. We had opted for a room at the front so this is more a warning for others who like quiet rooms.
perfect location, nice staff and realy good breakfest for great day start in a coasy breakfest basement.
It was surprising to see that room is so dark as window was just 1 meter from next house, but I gues it's quite normal in Amsterdam.
The hotel is in a perfect location for the sights of Amsterdam staff very friendly and attentive and very helpfu.
V good breakfast by amsterdam stadards , location also v good .
Some noise but nothing too late .
The location was excellent. We had stayed two days prior in a much more expensive hotel-which wasn't much better- right down the street. I preferred the Rokin by far. The location was next too excellent food, shopping and transit. We chose a room in the back to avoid noise and had no issues. The breakfast was amazing-much more then expected! They cleaned our rooms everyday and provided fresh towels. Wifi was also available.
Although Wifi was available and free, except you had to input a code everytime you wanted to use it and you were given an amount of hours to use.
Good location, friendly staff and the included breakfast was pretty good.
the elevator only goes till 3rd floor so the last floor(4th) can only be reached by stairs.
It was a small hotel where the concierge and reception were the same one staff. The staff were very helpful and even helped with making dinner reservations.
Good location was the first reason for choosing the hotel. However, upon staying there it was discovered the staff was friendly, and the room was quite comfortable. Good value for money.
A kettle is a key item missing. Access to the Internet is difficult as there is only one PC available.
